It turned out that here was an accident of some kind, but only one car, a lot of police and the ‘medico forensico’. peter speculated that something more sinister than a car accident may have occurred. Luckily we had left plenty of time to get to the airport.

Robin slept most of the 1 & 1/2 hour flight to Miami, making it a very easy flight for us! We asked the crew to fill in the flight details on Robins “high flyer” passport, and one of the other flight attendants came back with a shopping back full of snacks for our long trip home! We got chips, popcorn, cookies, apple snacks and fig bars. So much food, I wonder if he though Qantas wouldn’t feed us?

In the lounge, we had a drink and something to eat, before Robin decided to mess up his outfit with a big poo. This is why we can’t travel light anymore – so many changes of clothes needed. Robin has also learned how to confidently half-crawl half-drag himself around, making our times in lounges a little bit more labour intensive.

The next flight, Miami to LA wasn’t as easy as the first leg. Robin was restless and wouldn’t sleep. The 4 hours went very slowly. Once we arrived at LAX, we helped a Russian woman and her young child with getting her pram and luggage. There was way too much for a single person to manage.

We were glad to arrive finally at the Hilton Embassy Suites, and tried to have a good nights sleep.

[3

post-117","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-diary
["GET
