Open cot
\n<\/p>\n

Optiflow breathing support is back on – Robin was struggling this morning, with frequent bradys and desats, so the doctors put him back on optiflow to give him a rest. It’s good to keep trying him without it though, so we will do another trial hopefully in a few days and see how he goes. As he gets bigger, so do his lungs, but until he can easily breath without help, we’ll continue to help him. He does hate the tubes though, and continually tries to pull them out.<\/p>\n

Good news is that he has graduated to an open cot! It’s much nicer to be able to see him and have him more accessible. He seemed to like being able to see more as well. Nicki helped the nurse shift him into the open for at about 6pm. The open cot means that he can maintain his temperature, and that he is over 1700gms (min weight for the open cot). He is starting to seem a lot less fragile, though still small.<\/p>\n
