One amazing thing about our trip to Honeymoon Bay (Jervis Bay, NSW, AU) was the [em]vast[/em] number of Horned Sharks there. They just went on and on and on - mostly asleep. At night the waters must have been absolutely teeming. This video shows just one gutter - there were a couple of others and overhangs that we found which were similarly populated.(11.9MB)

This relatively large gloomy octopus was prowling around at Little Manly. Following with our torches probably didn't help it's hunting ;) (8.1MB)

Found this ray - actually two - just off the point at Harbord. This was a very big specimen - must have been nearing the species max of 1.2m span. (5.3MB)

A little bit of octopus taunting - stealing his shell & replacing it with an urchin shell we'd found nearby. This resulted in an impromptu game of urchin shell football - until his preferred flat shell shield was returned. This octopus was found at Little Manly, NSW. (8.8MB)

A baby dusky whaler at Fairy Bower (NSW) - vis was poor, unfortunately, so not very good quality movie. Still, at least it was moving slowly.
This shark is about 1m long & this size is seen a lot around Fairy Bower & Shelly Beach. The adults can get up to 3.5m or more. (3.3MB)
