First full day out… in NICU1, cot 3.
Under the lamps to reduce jaundice. Cools shades on.
On CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) to help keep lungs a bit open even when breathing out.
Has Nasogastric tube installed
Held mum & dad’s fingers for the first time
Heart echo ultrasound scan done to check for open valve. Couldn’t be heard via stehascope, but found a small opening. Gave Ibuprofen to help close it up.
First visitor – Granny Suzy.
Mum changed nappy for the first time ever.
