Auckland day 2

Auckland day 2

A big sleep in started the day, which was fine since it was a quite a rainy day outside in the morning. At lunchtime, Nicki and Robin walked down to the Auckland art gallery and had a look around at the art. The art gallery is next door to Albert park, so they headed there next. It was quite a struggle with the pram, as the park is up on a steep hill. Nicki managed to find a path without stairs to get them to the park.

Robin enjoyed watching the pigeons that Nicki was feeding, until a very large gull came close. It was a bit too bit for a little Bub, so they moved onto look at the fountain. We sat in the park for an hour or so, watching kids run around and looking nice at flowers, before heading back to the hotel and avoiding the next lot of rain.

In the afternoon, Nicki took Robin up to the crown plaza club room, where the friendly staff out Sesame Street on TV for Robin, whilst Nicki had a hot chocolate.

In the evening, they met up with Peter & his work friends for dinner at a fancy steak restaurant. Robin was very well behaved, and charmed everyone there. He even tried out a highchair for a little while (with a pillow to help him fit!)
