Cancun day 1
The organised group activity today was Togo to a beach, however babies and children weren’t allowed. Instead, we had a day by the pool. We started with breakfast, and Robin had some fruit and avocado. We then got changed into our swimmers and went down to the pool. We spent the morning in the pool, then had lunch poolside, where Robin fell asleep on me.
Early in the afternoon, we walked down to the beach. Robin was quite unsure about the waves and clung tightly to me. We waded in, but the waves were slightly large, so I didn’t go in far. Robin was not impressed at all, and was happy to get out of the ocean and back into the clam waters of the pool.
In the afternoon, all three of us had a nap, before heading out for dinner at a Japanese teppanyaki restaurant. The chef did a bit of a show, juggling utensils and lighting things on fire. Robin was enthralled with the action. He had some edamame shells and sucked on a price of tuna sashimi.
After dinner, we went to the bar in the hotel to speak with a few people we know, and they were all gushing over a very well behaved Robin. Once he fell asleep at about 10pm, we called it a night, said our good nights and went to bed. A lovely relaxing day and great start to our trip!
